Topics of the Week Word Study/Spelling: We are taking assessments so we know what words to practice. Reading: ~Choosing “Just Right” books ~Using our classroom library correctly ~What good readers do when they read Writing: ~Our promise to each other ~Poetry Math:   ~ Review place value ~ 2 and 3 digit addition Social Studies: ~ Me on the Map

Important Dates: 8/26: PTO Meeting 9/2: No School 9/26 & 10/1: P/T Conferences 9/30: PTO Meeting 10/4: No School 10/18: No School Reminders ~Please sign your child’s planner each night. ~ Look for your child's September reading log this Thursday.Please make sure your child fills out their own reading log. You only need to sign it at the end of the month. We have been talking a lot about taking responsibility for their things, plus it will be good practice for them to fill out the chart themselves. We're Off to a Great Start!

I can already tell this is going to be a fantastic year.  Students are so eager to learn and have been participating so well.  We have been focusing on learning the classroom routines and students are doing an excellent job adjusting to a new year.
