GES has “adopted” a few families who are in need this holiday season.  If students would like to send in a monetary donation, please send your money by tomorrow, Wednesday , December 17th. Mrs. Oburn (kindergarden teacher) is planning to shop for these families in the next few days.
Upcoming Events

Ornament Gift Exchange: Students will be exchanging an ornament on Friday.  Please bring in one ornament for a random classmate already wrapped.  Please try not to send glass ornaments as glass is prohibited on the bus.  If you are not able to provide an ornament, let me know and I’ll be happy to bring one so that your child can participate in the exchange.

Gingerbread Houses:  Thank you for starting to send in these donations. If you have not already done so, please send in the item(s) by Wednesday. If you are unable to send in the item requested, please write me a note so that I can pick it up at the store. Your child will participate whether or not they bring in something to donate.
Multiplication Unit Test

On Thursday, 12/19, the students will be taking their multiplication test. Please see the review sheet that was sent home today to help your child prepare for this test. If you have any questions or notice your child struggling with a specific section of this review sheet, please call me or send in a note and I will do my best to work with them on this skill independently or in a small group.
Use this practice test to guide your studying.  If they are struggling in one area, help them with these problems and maybe even create more problems that are similar.

Multiplication Facts
Continue to work on memorizing multiplication facts.  Students will begin timed fact tests when we return from break.  More information will be sent home about the format of these timed quizzes.
